News from Mrs. Chapman in ELA: New jokes and poems are going home today. Who will you share these with?Wednesdays we do some free writing and work in our WOW folders ( Working on Writing), becoming amazing writers...even more amazing than we already are! What did we learn about the writing process today? What are the 5 steps to an amazing piece of writing? Thursdays are our Reading Days. Bring a favourite book to read in class tomorrow and don't forget your library book! On Thursdays we are also learning about Communities. Tell someone what communities you are a part

Happy Monday! The warm weather is here! Please ensure that your child changes his or her books every Monday. MATH : Your child will be coming home with a new money game called Money Madness. We will be exploring different money activity throughout the week and gain some lifeskill strategies with money. Scholastic is coming home for English books, the French catalogue is on it's way! Hope every family had restful March Break! Homework for this week: 1- Lecture 2- Reading 3- Word problems in Math (these are due only on Friday) Please note : Let me know in your child's agenda if these are too difficult in French and I will adapt the content. I want homework to be a positive experience for the family.   In Math, we are still working with Multiplication and Division. We are also learning effective strategies to tackle math word problem As the weeks move along, your child will be able to apply these in their weekly homework.   Follow us on Twitter! https://twitter.com/3fibonjour      
I have added a few Websites on Multiplication and Division. Also, you will find a copy of frequent words that your child will encounter in level C and D books. Your child can practice reading these. I have also added a few examples of questions you ask your child before and after to verify their comprehension.
