Theatre New Brunswick Young Company visited our school on Monday afternoon, April 7th to perform their latest production, "Wally Finds his Inner Bear". This special event was funded by your child's student fees. Thank you to Grade 5 student, Chanel Guitard, for lending a hand with their production!

To foster the development of reading, writing and oral skills an oratorical event “Straight From My Heart” will run for the month of February at Terry Fox Elementary School.
Your child is invited to participate.
For this event, parents are being asked to work with their child preparing and practicing his or her presentation at home.
Your child’s Language Arts teacher will let her/him know when s/he is to present to the class.
The timeline is as follows:
February 3-16 Students will be preparing presentation at home.
February 17-21 “Speak-offs” will be held at the school.
We are bringing the thrill and wonder of space to Terry Fox Elementary! Science East from Fredericton will be visiting our school to take your family on an interactive trip to explore constellations, individual planets and galaxies for an unforgettable event and a fantastic learning experience.
The planetarium's inflatable dome will be coming to our school on Thursday evening, February 20th. Presentations can accommodate 25 people at a time beginning at 5:00 and will run every half hour in our gym. The last showing of the evening will be at 7:30 pm.
Our 9th Annual Christmas Silent Auction was held at the Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club on Thursday, November 28th with a full house in attendance. Thanks to the many volunteers and donors, the evening was a huge success! Over $11 000 was raised! Wow!
All proceeds, after expenses for food, printing and supplies, will go to enrich student learning at Terry Fox Elementary. Last year's proceeds were used to purchase new equipment in the gym and music room along with ipads for every classroom. We are excited to imagine the possibilities for this year's proceeds! Stay tuned!
Tickets are now on sale at the school for our 9th Annual Christmas Silent Auction to be held at Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club on Thursday, November 28th from 7-9 pm. Doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $5.00 and only 200 tickets will be sold for this popular, festive event! All proceeds will go toward enriching student learning here at Terry Fox Elementary. Come out and see the beautiful array of Christmas baskets, wreaths, and gift items. You might find that perfect gift for someone special!
Rehearsals are now underway for our 2013 Christmas Concert. This annual event will be held on Wednesday, December 18 at 10:30 am and will showcase all students from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Hope you can join us in the school cafeteria on the 18th!
Save the date and get your costumes ready for our 2013 Halloween Brouhaha. This annual event, hosted by our Home and School, will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 11:30-1:30. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
