Hello Families,

Please find attached below the Home Learning activities for week 5.   I have attached the writing paper, movement mat, word wall words and oral language communication activities again to this file.  I have also placed these frequently used items under the documents section on my teacher page so you can always find them quickly when you need to use them.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Have a safe and wonderful week!

Hello Families,

Attached below are the home learning activities for week 4.  A reminder that you can pick and choose activities to do throughout the week as well as some from previous weeks.  Reviewing is very important in second language learning therefore practicing some activities over again is helpful. Remember reading 20 minutes per day is part of the one hour daily home learning recommendation.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe week.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Hello families,

Attached are the learning outcomes for week 3, April 20-24. The first document contains the home learning plan. Pick and choose which activities you would like to try.  There are several activities included to offer a wide variety. You are not required to complete all activities. Included this week is an Earth Day activity, a math template and game instructions, writing paper and oral language communication activities.  The word wall list for word work can be found attached in the week 1 and week 2 plans.

This week I am also adding a French reading website and will email the username and password to each family.  This website will allow students to practice reading in French and they can also choose to follow along with the text while the book is read to them.  As part of the recommended one hour daily home learning time, students should read for 20 minutes. If you cannot do this reading in French then you can certainly work on reading in English as many of the reading skills will transfer between languages.

A reminder that you can repeat activities several times during the week. You can also choose to work on activities from the previous weeks of learning outcomes that you didn't get a chance to try or that your child really loved. The recommended amount of time for daily home learning is 30 minutes of math, 30 minutes of French literacy and 30 minutes of physical activity/wellness.

New Boom Card activities are added weekly.  Also, the FLORA website listed has several French language modules therefore students can continue progressing through the modules at their own pace.

Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Have a wonderful week!

Hello families,

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend and that the kids had lots of fun!

Attached are the learning outcomes for week 2.  Please remember that you do not have to do all the activities.  Pick and choose the activities that you would like to do at a time that fits your family schedule. The suggested time for Grades K-5 is 1 hour per day.  There are a variety of choices each week to suit your child's preferences. Some activities can be repeated several times during the week, such as math/counting skills, oral language practice, word work with new words and so on. You can also choose to work on activities from the previous week learning outcomes if you want.

New Boom Card activities are added weekly.  Also, the FLORA website listed has several French language modules therefore students can continue progressing through the modules at their own pace.

Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Mme Jessi
